In mai 2008, Mark Kingdon, previously CEO of Organic Inc, was nammed CEO of Linden Lab, makers of Second Life, to work closely with Philip Rosedale, from now on Chairman of the Board, with Mitch Kapor (from Lotus) and Robin Harper, SVP, Marketing and community Development.
We meet Mark and Robin in Paris today, a very sunny day!, with some french companies and developers working in SL (metting organized by PR Lewis agency). His purpose: explain his views and what Linden Lab was working on. Mainly, to improve the user experience for beginners, develop many services for business and corporations (as the recent agreement with Rivers Run Red for Immersive WorkSpaces), and also the very good news that Second Life Grid behind a firewall to secure the ability to hold determinedly private conversations will pass in beta test…
Robin Harper, Linden Lab
He spokes also about his strategy regarding Education and culture in SL, telling that 18 out of the most greatest US Universities were already in SL… very far from what we have in France. That is why we are working now on at i-Marginal on EuroCampus, a space dedicated to Education, science and culture, for museum, Schools, Univ, etc. — beginning with a Sim for Paris 7 University…
There were Nicolas Barrial aka Nick Rodes, Cyril Guérin aka Gromike, Hugobiwan Zolnir, Wangxiang Tuxing, Gilbert Réveillon, Laurent Heckmann, Richard Malterre, Thoma Khayatt, Kerunix Flan, Ange Zanetti, among others (didn’t get all names).

It is wonderful having the opportunity to listen to Mark Kingdon’s comment on your post, thanks. Mark Kingdon and Robin loved that moment with SL French community. They do recognize the great value of all that has been done so far. They are developing their expertise to improve in general Second Life experience for all: advanced users or starters.
